CAREER CHOICES for senior students at one of the countrys oldest secondary institutions, the prestigious Jamaica College (JC), in Kingston, have widened with the introduction of an aviation programme in the schools curriculum, beginning this academic year. Dinthill gives St Catherine agriculture a shot in the arm
A distinguished gentleman named John Wolmer made his last will and testament on May 21,1729. The will stated that the bulk of his estatholmwood technical high school Jamaicane should form the foundation of a free school in the parish in which he should happened to die. ...after many amendments and conferences between the House of Assembly and the Council, a law was passed and the Wolmers Trust which would manage the afirs of the school was established in 1736. By this account many feel Wolmers is the oldest high school in Jamaica. (Mannings High was founded in 1738 and St Jago High in 1744.)
